Tasting Oro del Desierto Hojiblanca

Opening the bottle releases green olive, flowers and aromatic herbs. On the palate Oro del Desierto’s Hojiblanca is smooth at first and ends with a light, refreshing pepperiness.

At the table, this floral freshness shows better than in any other use: on bread, over a salad or finishing a dish.

It is a Hojiblanca to discover calmly, perhaps comparing it with the house’s other varieties: the sweet Arbequina, the structured Picual or the unusual Lechín.

The Tabernas Hojiblanca

Oro del Desierto grows its Hojiblanca organically in Tabernas, in a desert landscape of intense light that pushes the olive tree to give its best. The mill works without synthetic products and makes each variety separately.

The result is a Hojiblanca with a very distinctive floral touch, unlike lowland Hojiblanca oils.

In such dry land, each tree is cared for almost individually, without synthetic products, and the olives are picked at just the right moment so they reach the mill in good health. That care shows in the bottle, from the first aroma to the last sip.

How to enjoy Oro del Desierto Hojiblanca

  • Tomato salads.
  • Fresh cheeses.
  • White fish.
  • Bread with salt.

A tomato salad with oregano, a fresh cheese or oven-baked white fish show its floral profile well. On bread with flaky salt, it is a simple, delicious aperitif.

With its elegant bottle, it is also a good gift for olive oil lovers, who will enjoy discovering a Hojiblanca born so far from its usual home.

Oro del Desierto Hojiblanca: the 500 ml bottle
